Celebrating God’s Faithfulness

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV

Today I am overwhelmed by God’s faithfulness in the big and little things of life. As I ponder all God has done and continues to do through the people and mission of Evansville Christian School, it is evident that God has faithfully provided always at the perfect time throughout our school’s history. Some can remember back to the beginning of Evansville Christian School in 1975 when a faithful God transformed the dreams of the leadership of Bethel Church into the school we know today. It would be impossible to count all the lives impacted for the kingdom because of ECS, but we are quick to remember that it is God, faithfully working in and through His people, who gets the credit!

Fast forward to Evansville Christian School today in 2014 and count the ways God continues to orchestrate His will and His plan for our school: exceptional leadership and vision of our school board, wisdom and skill of Paul Bair who nurtures partnerships and provides exemplary business leadership, collaborative and creative educational leadership of Mike Allen, spiritual discernment and team leadership gifts of Scott Winslow, outstanding faculty of educational leaders who are role models for our students, committed staff who consistently go the extra mile, supportive parents and volunteers, valued church partners, and of course the best students anywhere!

As we celebrate God’s continued faithfulness to ECS through increased enrollment, the new Cullen Avenue 7th/8th grade campus, progress on the high school planning, and collaboration with church partners, we thank God for the opportunity to share His school with more families in our community. Ask anyone at our school, and they will tell you what we do here everyday matters: for the Kingdom, in the lives of our students spiritually and academically, for families, and for our entire faculty and staff.  Since we know he is faithful throughout generations, we can also be confident that what God is doing in our students will impact our community and even the world for Christ!

During this last month of the school year, our schedules are busy with programs, graduation, and events that remind us to be faithful to finish the year well. At this time of year, I always want to say thank you to parents for trusting ECS with your child and allowing us to partner with you in their education. “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23 ESV
In His Service,
